Titian's The Death of Actaeon (1560's) which is as appalling as the original tale.
The story is from Ovid: when Diana discovers Acteon has been a Peeping Tom, she turns him into a stag (here he is already half-man, half-stag) and his hounds tear him to pieces. Diana has her bow out to finish him off or perhaps it's mercy-killing?
